New Aesop's Fable

A man who was a player and in his mid-30s had just started to date two women he really had a thing for. One of his women was younger and a total babe, while the other was a bit older. The cougar was jealous of her stud boyfriend, so she would pluck out his black hairs when he would come to visit, leaving only the grey hairs. The younger didn’t want to be seen with an old man, so she yanked out all the grey hairs she could find. The cool boyfriend soon became bald and undesirable to his two lovers, so they dumped him.

The Search for Booty

The Search for Booty

Sailing the ocean blue was a crew of nasty pirates. The crew consisted of two, one a bit squiffy, the other loaded to the gunwalls. They were out to find the motherload.
“Ahoy me matey.” yelled Ethan. After no response from Jeff, Ethan proceeded to fire off the six pounders, yelling “Show a leg, you bilge rat!”
“Sink me, ye scallywag, I’ll make you dance the hempen jig if you don’t shut ye trap.”
“You picaroon, we must find the motherload!” Ethan exclaimed.
“What in the heck is the motherload, you rapscallion?” questioned Jeff.
“Are ye kidding me matey! It is all the booty that ye can imagine!”
“What! Are ye kidding me!? Ye have a wife, ye hornswaggler!”
“Now shut ye mouth you scoundrel, before I put my cutlass to use.”
“Ah, when did ye get an automobile matey?”
“Ay me matey, I traded in our crow’s nest for it!”
“Well blow me down! Are ye loaded to the gunwalls?!”
“Me loaded to the gunwalls? You are quite the carouser! I was just kidding, bucko!”
“Arr me matey! Ye got me. So where do we find all this booty at? Vegas?”
“Ay where no man has traveled before. Just south of the Barbary Coast!”
“Avast you lass! I was just there last week!”
Becoming very upset with Jeff, Ethan cracks him with his cat o’ nine tails. With this, Jeff picks up his buckle and plunders Ethan in the dome.
“Ay you scallywag what are we doing? We must find the motherload!”
“Sorry Cap’n! We have got to keep our heads on straight if we want to find the booty!”
“Jeff take over as coxswain, while I take a caulk.”
“Wow! Too much information matey!”
Finally arriving at what they think was their destination, Jeff wakes up Ethan. Ethan takes a look around and realizes they are on the dangerous Gold Road.
“Jeff! We are at the Gold Road! Do you know what that is?”
“I have no clue, bucko! Are the roads paved in gold?”
“Not quite lad! It is the absolute most dangerous place for pirates to be! There are hundreds of ships sunk here every year! The natives are gruesome.”
“Well, how about we just toss the anchor out here at sea and get some sleep. I think we could both use a little time taking a nap. I’ll go ahead and drop the anchor.”
Jeff drops the anchor in the water and after a good night’s sleep, Jeff wakes up and sees in the distance a ship headed their way. Quickly, Jeff runs over and starts to yank at the cable. Pulling strong, the anchor is almost up out of the water when he hears a thud.  At this he realizes that luck is not on their side and it just bilged on her anchor.
Ethan comes running up from the bilge yelling, “Bilge water, bilge water, we are going down!”
Five years later, Ethan and Jeff were found holding the motherload, but in the dreaded Davey Jones Locker.

Do You Believe In Me?

1. I think he was a good speaker because ham sandwiched great and used good gestures.
2. Some of his good characteristics include the way he got the crowd into it by asking them questions and the way he used his voice. I couldn't really find any bad characteristics.
3. He changed his for the different points he made, when he was making a statement he made it loud and demanding, but when he was talking about the other kids, he seemed to make it like a touching voice.
4. His gestures went with the tone of his voice, making them more exciting when he got louder and using his hands to pick out certain groups in the crowd.
5. He was a great person to pick for the keynote speaker because he is an intention grabber. He was a fifth grader that went to a surrounding school that could speak with the best of them.
6. He wanted the teachers to believe in the kids and help them get to their goals. Yes it was important because the kids need to reach their goals.
7. I think they believed him. It definitely inspired me so I can imagine how it would feel to be a teacher for him and his classmates.

What did you think of his message? If you were a teacher, would it have inspired you?
I thought his message was great. I like how he stated that the teachers have the most important jobs there. Their work decides on how the kids will grow up and be later in life. If the teachers do a good job and the kids believe in them, they will be successful later on. I like how he made the point on how important the teachers are, whether they are teaching or just giving kids some love, because now it seems that teachers do not get the respect they need. If I was a teacher it would have inspired me. It would make me feel like I needed to work harder for the kids and help them reach their goals so they can be successful.
